Questions about the widgets
Do the widgets cost anything? No. They are free for private and commercial sites, with no API key and no sign-up. We only ask that you keep the small link back to SunnyTracker that each widget carries.
How do I change the city? The city is part of the widget URL, for example /widget/berlin. Pick any of the 175,000+ cities on the site and use its slug — the one from the address bar of that city's page.
Does the widget slow my page down? Barely. It loads in an iframe with loading=“lazy”, so the browser fetches it only when it scrolls into view, and it pulls no fonts or trackers from third parties.
Can I match the widget to my design? Yes: theme (light, dark, auto), size and accent colour are URL parameters, so you can set them right in the embed code and change them any time without touching anything else.
Do the times update by themselves? Yes. Every widget recalculates the sun and moon times for the current date on each load and counts down live while the page is open — there is nothing to maintain.
